Mental Health Awareness – Level 2
Mental health concerns how we believe, feel and behave and mental health problems can affect anybody. In fact, one in 4 people in the UK will be identified with a psychological health concern at some time in their lives. This figure shows that the majority of people will have firsthand experience of psychological distress, whether it be themselves or someone they know.
Who is it for?
The program is created for students aged 16 and above, who are operating in a series of settings within the public, personal or voluntary sectors and who wish to raise their awareness of psychological health.
What are the advantages of doing this course?
Mental distress takes many kinds. This qualification aims to expand students’ understanding of mental ill-health and the most frequently diagnosed mental health conditions.
Learners will establish an awareness of the symptoms and signs of these conditions and how they may affect people’s everyday lives. Learners will likewise acquire an insight into how these conditions can be effectively managed.
The qualification is currently designated as a target-bearing complete Level 2 certification and is mapped to the Skills for Health National Occupational Standards and the knowledge set for dementia from Skills for Care. As a result, employers can be assured that personnel who finish this programme are satisfying industry standards.
