Retail and Sales
An apprenticeship in retail and sales could help you turn a job in a shop into a career in retail. It’s for people involved with storage and ordering stock, looking after customers and preparing products for sale.
Retail covers a host of businesses, from independent shops to market stalls to large supermarkets and national chains.
As an apprentice you could be assisting customers on the sales floor of a high street store or even handling their purchases.
Alternatively you may be working in a specialist dept and develop into becoming a product expert who will be available to help with specific enquires.
If you have artistic flare then you may excel in visual merchandising to create window and in-store displays. Alternatively you could work behind the scenes stock handling to ensure products are received in the correct quantities.
